My Five Reasons For The Choosing Of Sapphire Eternity Rings

Introduction
I would suggest that some of the very best eternity rings, otherwise known as anniversary bands, that are available to purchase are sapphire eternity rings, although some other very popular choices hold rubies, emeralds, less commonly gems such as tanzanite, and obviously that of diamonds.

Basically any of your favourite or applicable gemstones can be used, usually in celebration of the birth of new born, other birthdays, and most commonly wedding anniversaries, although they can be bought to mark any occasion.

The Five Reasons
1. Sapphire Birthstone

Septembers birthstone has always been known to be that of Sapphire, so obviously a great choice for a ring that is used to celebrate a birthday occasion in that month.

2. Anniversary Stone

If you are to celebrate any type of anniversary that includes 5, 45 or 70 years, then the sapphire is historically the choice to make.

3. Colour of Sapphire

All the colours except that of red is what the sapphire gemstone is available in. Such as all the blue shades, yellows, greens, oranges, purples and even hot pinks!

4. Hardness of Sapphire

These stones show a greater level of damage resistance to knocks and scratches, due to the fact they are second on the Mohs scale of gemstone hardness, second only to that of the diamond.

5. History of Sapphire

Historically it has been linked to clairvoyance, insight and interpretation. Its healing properties ensure the lowering of fevers and inflammation, helps hearing problems, prevents cancer and sooths burns. It is also used to banish evil thoughts. and is considered the stone give spiritual light, and bring peace and happiness. Basically a sapphire wearer is said to have a moral life.

Conclusion

The shapes that are found are most often those that are round or have square ends, such as emerald cuts, princess cuts and baguette cuts. This ensures that in the manufacturing of these rings the stones sit side by side nicely, with little light passing through any gaps between stones, to give a much nicer finish. The stones that are present though can be found in any of the colours, clarity and to some extent size.

They are either set all around the band in a full eternity style as was once more popular, or more often seen set half around the band, as well as more uniquely in a wishbone or chevron style. These
Eternity Rings will usually be set in one row, and usually with diamonds, but they can also be found in styles made up of more than one row, and also sometimes on their own.

As is with most other fine jewellery these days, they are usually manufactured in metals of yellow and white gold, and in 9ct or 18ct gold variations, as well as less commonly platinum and increasingly more popular, in that of palladium.

Sapphires, just the same as all other gems and gemstone jewellery, will tend to attract dirt during daily wear, but a little care can ensure your cherished
Sapphire Eternity Ring will be looking as good as it did when it was first purchased. A little mild soap in warm water, and a old soft toothbrush, will bring it back as new again!

Legend has it that the sapphire gemstone holds a strong bond in relation to maintaining everlasting love, so why not wear your wonderful ring daily as an added helping factor in maintaining your romantic feelings...?
